Not every MP has the same outlook – even if they share the same political party.
Each local representative will have a different conscience on some of the matters we care most about as Christians. We’ve approached local candidates from each of the main parties and asked them five important questions of concern to Christians. We asked:
- 1. Christians believe MPs should speak with conviction and civility. What are your thoughts on this?
- 2. What role do you think churches should play – or not play – in society today?
- 3. How do you feel about an evangelical Christians standing for political office?
- 4. Many UK Christians are concerned about ‘assisted dying’. What is your position?
- 5. Are there any issues that are particularly important to you?
